Scaligero String Quartett

Was formed in 2006 by the will of the Concertmaster of the Arena di Verona Orchestra Prof. Peter Szanto.

Prof. Szanto, who has held this role since 1993, has realized this project with the fellow orchestra professors who make up the current group, each of whom has collaborated over the years with prestigious chamber ensembles and symphony orchestra, carrying out an intense activity in the national and international field.

Hence the need to merge personal experiences, collaborating with seriousness and professional commitment, for a new research of sound quality and stylistic interpretation, facing new repertoires including smaller formations such as the quartet.

After many concerts, the project continues, with public ans critical success, and renewed enthusiasm, with a repertoire ranging from baroque to 900 music.
